In the 1960s, Strachan and Myburgh set up shop in Johannesburg, and the retailers went on to create a range of Scottish-style beanies and other headwear. And although their hats were originally geared to simply offer wearers protection from the elements, Strachan & Myburgh has become a heavyweight streetwear brand over the years. Apart from the brand’s established popularity, it boasts a cultural significance spanning six decades, and counting.
