Constructed to be the perfect nautical footwear, these long-lasting boat shoes are made of a unique piece of unlined full-grain leather in different colours drawn from the historical Sebago archives and hand-sewn with the finest craftsmanship: they come with leather sock lining, 360° rawhide lace system and non-marking antislip siped rubber soles to offer stable grip in all weather conditions. The “Portland” mocs bear in their very DNA an innate affection and bond towards the city of Portland, one of the largest seaports in New England, also host of a world famous Yachting Club.

Founded in 1946, the Sebago® Company was started by three New England natives and friends: Daniel J. Wellehan Sr., William Beaudoin and Joseph Cordeau. The first shoe they released was a hand-sewn penny loafer. Sebago’s® penny loafer was inspired by the popular Indian moccasin and featured the company’s patented welt construction.
